The brand's journey began in 2000 in Peru, where NGO Solidaridad, the Kuyichi founder, was experimenting in the cotton industry. The founders were shocked by pollution and poverty levels in this country, consequently initiating a program to change the living standards in Peru.

As a result, NGO Solidaridad started collaborating with Peruvian farmers to generate pure organic cotton.
