History of Wrangler Jeans

Blue Bell acquired the rights to Wrangler and in 1946 held a competition to find the best name for a new line of cowboy-style jeans. These cowboy influenced items were aimed at customers interested in the rodeo style and look. They included new features such as rear pockets, reinforced rivets, a zipper fly and strongly durable seams and stitching. In 1962, Blue Bell opened a factory in Belgium and launched their Wrangler Jeans throughout Europe. They quickly became quite the success, with the jeans evolving into a favourite of style-conscious customers everywhere.
The following years saw the jeans become ever more popular, with the comfort and stylistic flexibility of the items firmly establishing itself as a trademark for fashion loving crowds throughout the world. By 2004 Wrangler had been recognised as a premium denim brand by 22 European countries. To recognise this fact, as well as 100 years in the business linked to Blue Bell, Wrangler brought out the limited edition Blue Bell model.
